She is a 24-year-old dedicated environmental educator and grassroots organizer from Uganda with over nine years of experience in community building, philanthropy, and advocacy for child rights, youth leadership, human rights, and environmental sustainability.

A passionate advocate for clean energy, Darren is co-authoring a research paper on Energy Democracy which intends to educate individuals about the significance of democratic oversight of community-level renewable energy to build out at the speed and scale necessary to meet climate goals
