> President of Wonkwang University. 
> 
> Dr. Park Sung-Tae, has devoted his life to education and scholarship, grounded in the spiritual values of Won Buddhism. In December 2022, he was inaugurated as the 14th President of Wonkwang University and has been leading the institution ever since. He received his bachelor’s, master’s, and Ph.D. degrees in Business Administration from Jeonbuk National University, completing his doctorate in 1990.

> Since 1985, President Park has served as a professor in the Department of Business Administration at Wonkwang University, dedicating his career to education, research, and nurturing the next generation of scholars. Building on his scholarly expertise, Dr. Park has actively participated in several of Korea’s leading academic societies. He served as President of the Korean Industrial Economics Association (KIEA) in 2003, the Korean Academic Society of Business Administration (KASBA) in 2007, and the Korean Financial Management Association (KFMA) in 2015. From 2008 to 2014, he also held the position of Vice President of the Korean Association of Financial Engineering (KAFE).

> In addition to his academic leadership, President Park has been deeply engaged in the religious and institutional affairs of the Won Buddhist community. He served as Policy Advisor to the Supreme Council of Won Buddhism (2004–2006), Board Director of Wonchang, a central headquarters-affiliated organization (2012–2018), and Chair of the Finance and Enterprise Development Committee for the Won Buddhism Centennial Commemoration Project (2009–2016). Between 2013 and 2017, he served as President of the Association of Won Buddhist Professors, contributing to the advancement of intellectual exchange and cohesion within the religious academy.

> President Park contributed to national higher education policy as a member of the University Structural Reform Committee under the Ministry of Education from 2017 to 2019. With extensive experience spanning academia, religion, and public service, he brings integrated and visionary leadership to Wonkwang University.
> 
> In his role as President, Dr. Park has prioritized the enhancement of scholarly excellence, the expansion of global academic networks, and the institutionalization of ethical leadership practices, thereby fostering the university’s long-term sustainability and public mission.
